Some of the highest wind reports were noted around 4 a.m. Friday.

The National Weather Service reports gusts of 55 mph and 52 mph were reported in Fredonia around that time. Dunkirk Airport saw its highest wind of 52 mph at 4:40 a.m and Dunkirk had 42 mph at 3:30 a.m.

Jamestown reported a 36 mph gust at 7:51 a.m. while Ripley had 40 mph report at 5:18 a.m.

Winds have since diminished and cooler temperatures have moved in for the remainder of the day. Rain and snow is expected this afternoon with snow showers tonight and a low of 25 expected.
