City Man Indicted For Murder In Shooting
A Jamestown man has been indicted by a Chautauqua County grand jury in the shooting death of William J. Michishima on July 24.
David F. Waggoner, 54 was indicted on a charge of second-degree murder and remains in Chautauqua County Jail following arraignment in front of County Court Judge David Foley. Bail was set at $1 million bail, $2 million property.
Michishima, also of Jamestown, was taken by helicopter to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., shortly after he was shot in the head with a handgun around 9 a.m. in front of 114 Livingston Ave. in the city. He was taken off life support the following day.
Jamestown police have not released a motive in the shooting. Chief Harry Snellings did say the two men knew each other.
Waggoner is being represented by the Chautauqua County Public Defender’s Office.
