A Lakewood restaurant will be closing its doors for good Sunday.

The Wing City Grille, located at 273 Fairmount Ave., will be closing its doors effective Sunday, according to a post on Wing City Grille’s Lakewood Facebook page.

“The restaurant has not allowed us any return on our investment and the closing of this restaurant will make our other area restaurants much stronger both financially and operationally,” the Facebook post stated.

Professional Hospitality, which is owned by Andrew Carlson, operates the Wing City Grille in Lakewood and in Fredonia, along with the Village Casino in Bemus Point.

“This will not affect any of our other restaurants in the area,” the Facebook post stated. “We will utilize most employees in our other facilities locally. We are actively pursuing other concepts for this location. We would like to sincerely thank each and every one of our patrons, employees, friends and family for allowing us to be a part of the community. We look forward to seeing you at the Casino and Wing City Grille in Fredonia.”
