Wife Of Escapee Charged For Aiding And Abetting

CHARLOTTE — The wife of Jacob Raynor, the Sinclairville man who escaped from custody on March 7, has been charged for allegedly aiding and abetting.

On Tuesday, 30-year-old Kelsey A. Raynor of Sinclairville was taken into custody while appearing in Charlotte Town Court on an unrelated issue.

An arrest warrant had been issued for her earlier in the day charging her with third-degree hindering prosecution, fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Raynor was involved in the manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine prior to the escape of her husband. After his escape, Raynor allegedly assisted by hiding him, cutting his handcuffs off and providing him with other assistance to avoid capture until March 14.

Raynor was arraigned in Charlotte Town Court and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail pending further action from the court.

Starting at $3.50/week.
