BUFFALO – Jeffrey Basil, the bar manager who admitted to killing Silver Creek native and Air National Guardsmen William Sager Jr., has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, plus five years of post-release supervision.

Sager’s fiancee, Erika Webster, gave an emotional victim impact statement during the sentencing today. The family will hold a news conference Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Buffalo’s Navy Park to thank the community for all its support over the past year.
