JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPT. - Christina M. Park, 40, of Jamestown, and Burdette G. Thomas, 49, of Jamestown, were charged after a street check at 8:22 a.m. Thursday on Prendergast Avenue near Wilson Place. Officers were on patrol when they allegedly saw Park, who had a known warrant for failing to appear in Jamestown City Court. Park was accompanied by a male who allegedly provided officers with a false name but was later identified as Thomas, who was found to be an absconder from Pennsylvania parole. Benitez, 41, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 1 p.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a north side address for a 911 investigation. Officers determined that a domestic incident occurred resulting in a cell phone allegedly being smashed. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPT. - David Burkhart III, 33, of Jamestown was charged with endangering the welfare of ac hild at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday after officers responded to the east side of Jamestown for a report of a 2-year-old child wandering in the street. Burkhart III was allegedly responsible for the child. He was charged and taken to the city jail until he can be arraigned in Jamestown City Court. CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT — HANOVER --- An incident early Friday with a weapon has led to charges. Around 12:01 a.m., members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office responded to an altercation. Through an investigation it was found that 38-year-old Jamar Fountain or Irving to have intentionally placed a person of reasonable fear of serious physical injury by displaying a deadly weapon. JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Dimari N. Fields, 19, of Jamestown, was charged July 2 with second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Buffalo Street and Beechview Avenue for a reported fight. During the investigation, police said, it was found that Fields was in the presence of a female who has an order of protection against Fields.
