JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Michael S. Cook, 53, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 9:13 a.m. Friday after officers were patrolling on the south side of Jamestown and allegedly saw Cook walking with a woman Cook had an order of protection to stay away from. Cook was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– An 18-year-old Texas resident was charged with operating a motor vehicle after consuming alcohol while under the age of 21 (zero tolerance under 21 years old) and driving the wrong way on a one-way street at 1:34 a.m. Friday after officers pulled a vehicle over at North Main and East Sixth streets after observing a vehicle traveling the wrong way on a one-way street. During the investigation, officers determined that the operator had been operating the vehicle after consuming alcohol while under the age of 21. The youth was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Gary L. West Jr., 51, of Celoron was charged with driving while ability impaired – drugs and traffic tickets at 1:19 a.m. Thursday after officers pulled a vehicle over on Jones and Gifford Avenue due to an alleged traffic violation. Through investigation, it was determined West Jr., was allegedly operating the vehicle while impaired due to drug use. West was arrested and later released with an appearance ticket to be in Jamestown City Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– Dakota C. Wilson, 28, of Fredonia was indicted by a Chautauqua County Grand Jury with second-degree conspiracy, a class B felony, and arraigned at 3 p.m. Wednesday by Judge David Foley. In June, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office was notified by the District Attorney’s Investigators of an incident involving Wilson while he was housed at the Chautauqua County Jail. Through a joint investigation with the District Attorney’s Office, it was determined that Wilson allegedly conspired with another individual to commit a violent crime against another person. Wilson is currently being held on $100,000 cash bail or $200,000 property bond.
