LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
– LAKEWOOD – Albert D. Pognant, 38, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny after officers responded to the Dollar General in Lakewood for a reported shoplifting in progress. Pognant was allegedly found on West Fairmount Avenue near Winch Road. He was charged, processed and released to be in Busti Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Tysean L. Mays, 21, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 9:26 a.m. Thursday after officers working as part of a STRIVE domestic violence detail responded to a west side home for an order of protection check. Through investigation it was found that Mays was inside of a woman’s house being issued a stay away order of protection. Mays was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. Mays had previously been charged on Sept. 16 with second-degree imprisonment after officers responded to a west side home for a report of a physical domestic dispute on W. Fifth St. Upon arrival, officers allegedly saw Mays pulling a pregnant woman into the residence by her hair. Officers chased Mays into the residence, and were able to separate the two individuals. Mays allegedly continued to fight with officers on scene and was taken into custody. Mays was also charged with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest.
– Mallory E. Anderson, 37, of Jamestown was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI and traffic citations at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday after officers pulled a vehicle over at South Main and Harrison streets. Anderson allegedly had a blood-alcohol content that was three times the legal limit. She was charged and taken to the city jail before being released with traffic citations to be in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF
– POMFRET – Cherish M. Loomis, 46, of Gowanda was charged with speeding, suspended registration and obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest at 10:42 p.m. Wednesday after deputies conducted a traffic stop in Pomfret that ended in the Fredonia McDonalds parking lot. Loomis was allegedly non-compliant and became physically resistant, according to a police report. She was charged and released to appear in Pomfret Town Court later.
