JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Joseph A. Snyder, 41, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny, two counts of public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child at 11:09 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a downtown business for a
reported shoplifting. Snyder allegedly stole merchandise from the business. Officers located and arrested Snyder before he could leave the property. During the investigation, officers also learned that Snyder had allegedly exposed himself to both an adult and a juvenile while outside the downtown business. Snyder was taken to the city jail and released after he was arraigned.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Lucas E. Rose, 36 , of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs, speed not reasonable and prudent, failed to keep right, driving on shoulder and unregistered motor vehicle at 3:37 p.m. Sept. 5 for an incident that occurred on Aug. 15. Ellicott police responded to a single-vehicle accident with injury where it is alleged Rose was operating a motor vehicle north on Peck Settlement Road at an unreasonable speed. Rose failed to keep right, crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and left the road. Police report Rose hit multiple trees and went into a wooded area. Through investigation officers on scene determined Rose was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. An arrest warrant was issued from the incident and Rose was arrested on the warrant and released with traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. Rose will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Tiffany M. Campbell, 33, of Celoron and Shyron A. Campbell, 41, of Celoron were each charged with endangering the welfare of a child on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. Ellicott police responded to a separate incident and responded to an address in Celoron to further investigate a call where it is alleged Tiffany and Shyron Campbell failed to provide adequate housing for a child and had a child living in deplorable and unsafe conditions. Tiffany and Shyron Campbell were issued appearance tickets and released to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Corey J. Stingle, 24, of Falconer was charged with petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief on Aug. 25 after Ellicott police responded to a shoplifting complaint at Tops in Falconer where it is alleged Stingle took merchandise from the business and left the store. Police report store employees followed Stingle and attempted to get the stolen merchandise back. Stingle then allegedly threw the merchandise at the employees, causing damage to the merchandise. An arrest warrant was issued for Stingle, who was found on Sept. 5 and charged. Stingle was released with an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– An 18-year-old Falconer youth was charged with second-degree criminal mischief on Tuesday after Ellicott police responded to a report of several vehicle tires damaged throughout the village of Falconer. It's alleged the 18-year-old was on foot and damaged tires on multiple vehicles throughout the village. Some vehicles had all four tires damaged as well as both vehicles for a household having tires damaged by a sharp instrument. A witness was able to identify the 18 year old and video footage was provided to police confirming the identity of the 18-year-old, according to a police report. Ellicott police were able to locate the 18 year old shortly after the incident. After the investigation was complete and all damage reported, the 18-year-old was arrested and issued an appearance ticket per state bail laws. The 18-year-old will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– MAYVILLE – Gabrielle Berry, 29, of Fredonia was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:27 a.m. Thursday after deputies responded to the Chautauqua County Court House for a report of an individual who was being disorderly. Berry was issued an appearance ticket to be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
