CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
-- MAYVILLE - On Aug. 17, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division received a complaint of an incident taking place in the Chautauqua County Jail. It was reported to investigators that an incarcerated individual kicked a Corrections Officer causing physical injury. After an investigation, Robert L. Schroder, 45, was charged with second-degree assault. He was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment to answer to the charge out of the Town of Chautauqua.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
-- Annette M. Johnson, 65 , of Falconer, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief around 3:30 a.m. Aug. 15. The Town of Ellicott police responded to a suspicious female attempting to break into vehicles at a local business in Falconer, where it is alleged Johnson caused damage to a victim's vehicle. Johnson was issued an appearance ticket and later released. Johnson is due to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
-- Jessica McCleary, 44 , of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated on Aug. 7. The Town of Ellicott police responded to a single-vehicle accident, where it is alleged McCleary was driving while under the influence and crashed into a tree. McCleary was taken into custody and later transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. McCleary is due to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
-- FALCONER -- Caleb E. Dellahoy, 18 , of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny on Aug. 8. The Town of Ellicott police responded to larceny of a firearm complaint, where it is alleged Dellahoy illegally took a firearm from a residence. Dellahoy is due to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date to answer to the charge(s).
-- Tajai N. Nelson, 34 ,of Sodus, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, failing to stop at a stop sign, improper signal and improper right turn at 6:55 a.m. Aug. 12. Police responded to a vehicle complaint, where it is alleged a vehicle was driving on Route 60, swerving and almost striking a guardrail. An officer in the area located the vehicle involved and observed the vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign, fail to signal and take an improper right turn. After further investigation officers determined Nelson was under the influence of a drug and unable to operate a vehicle safely. Nelson is to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
-- William J. Merecki, 40 , of Ellicott was charged with second-degree harassment and fourth-degree criminal mischief Aug. 25 stemming from an incident that occurred on Aug. 17. The Town of Ellicott police responded to a domestic dispute, where it is alleged Merecki was involved in a domestic dispute that became physical with Merecki grabbing the victim's head and pushing the victim into a closet door, damaging the door. It is also alleged Merecki destroyed property during the domestic incident as well. A warrant was issued for Merecki and Merecki did turn himself in to the Town of Ellicott court. He is to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
-- FALCONER -- Kristin A Dale, 38 , of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property on Aug. 24. The Town of Ellicott police responded to a shoplifting, where it is alleged Dale took property belonging to Dollar General in Falconer. Dale was located on foot a short distance from the business. Dale was transported to EPD, processed, and released with an appearance ticket. Dale is due to be in the Town of Ellicott court at a later date.
