JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

-- Zachary A. Graves, 30, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree attempted grand larceny, possession of burglar tools and third-degree criminal trespass.

At approximately 7:30 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a criminal mischief in progress

at an east side business. Officers located 30-year-old Zachary A. Graves fleeing the area on foot on the railroad tracks.

A subsequent investigation determined that Graves caused substantial damage to a parked tractor trailer while attempting to steal its radiator. Graves was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

He was to be held in the Jamestown City Jail pending arraignment.

-- Jonathan B. Yates, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with false personation.

At 10:12 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to an address in the city for a suspicious person. Through an investigation, officers made contact with a male subject who lied to officers about his identity. Officers confirmed the male subject was Yates, who had a felony arrest warrant out of Jamestown City Court and was taken into custody. He was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
