JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
-- Shakira L. Cuevas-Garcia, 23, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated and other violations.
At approximately 4:05 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Second Street and Hopkins Avenue. A subsequent investigation revealed that Cuevas-Garcia was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Cuevas-Garcia was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. After being processed, she was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court on a later date
-- Demeatrice E. Maddox, 36, was charged with driving while ability impaired and other traffic violations.
On July 24 at approximately 10:07 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of West Sixth and Clinton streets for a report of a personal injury accident. Upon investigation, it was determined that one of the drivers, Maddox, was operating his vehicle under the influence. Maddox was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without further incident. After being processed, Maddox was released to return to Jamestown City Court.
-- Danielle N Payne, 36, was charged with DWI, DWI per se and inadequate signal.
At around 2:22 a.m., officers were on patrol on the city’s West side. Officer’s observed a vehicle that failed to signal when turning. Officers then conducted a traffic stop. Further investigation found the operator of the vehicle, Payne, to be driving the vehicle in an intoxicated state. She was taken into custody and transported to the city jail without incident.
-- Robert K. Jones, 33, of Jamestown was charged after failing to register with the New York state sex offender registry.
On Friday, officers were made aware that Jones had relocated from the Commonwealth of Pensylvania in 2021 and was supposed to register with New York state within 10 days. Jones had not been registered since 2021. Officers located Jones and took him into custody on the felony charge. He was transported to the city jail where he was held pending arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT
-- CHAUTAUQUA -- Around 9 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address for a reported past tense criminal mischief complaint. Through an investigation it was found that 37-year-old Stephanie N. Textor of Chautauqua did damage property of another person exceeding an amount of $250. She was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
-- SHERIDAN -- On July 3, deputies responded to an address on East Middle Road for a report of suspicious activity and items stolen by a delivery driver. Through an investigation it was determined that the driver, Isaac Hillman, 25, of Dunkirk, did take items of another person during a delivery. Hillman was charged with petit larceny on Friday and will be in town court later.
