JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Chelsea T. Coulter, 34, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree aggravated harassment and first-degree felony criminal contempt at 6:30 a.m. Thursday after officers responded to a home on the north side of Jamestown for a reported domestic dispute. During the investigation, officers determined Coulter allegedly had sent the victim threatening messages via an electronic device in violation of a valid Order of Protection issued by Jamestown City Court. Coulter was charged and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until she could be arraigned.
– Samuel Arrington Jr., 20, of Jamestown was charged with violating the city’s code against riding a bicycle on a sidewalk, resisting arrest, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon (loaded firearm) at 12:06 p.m. Thursday after he was stopped by city police officers ridingan e-bike on a sidewalk in downtown Jamestown. Officers reportedly tried to stop the e-bike, but Arrington continued south on Main Street, through Brooklyn Square and into the city’s west side before trying to run away. Police said there was a brief foot chase and struggle. Arrington Jr. was allegedly in possession of a loaded firearm with a high-capacity magazine, 51.4 grams of fentanyl and a digital scale. Arrington does not have a pistol permit and cannot legally possess the firearm, according to a police report.
Arrington was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and arraigned by Judge George Panebianco, who set bail at $1,000. Arrington was taken to the county jail until he can post bail.
– Joshua M. Eddy, 38, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny after officers responded to a reported shoplifting in process from a business on the city’s west side after a person allegedly stole merchandise and ran away. Officers found Eddy, who officers said also had an arrest warrant for a prior petit larceny charge issued by Jamestown City Court. Eddy was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– POMFRET – Anthony J. Adornetto, 44, of Lockport was charged with DWI and cited for speeding at 7:57 p.m. July 26 after a traffic stop on Route 60 near Shumla Road. Adornetto will be in Pomfret Town Court later.
– BROCTON – Jacob H. Tye, 39, of Fredonia was charged with trespassing at 10:50 a.m. Thursday after deputies responded to a Portland home for a reported trespassing violation. Tye was identified as the person involved in the incident and was later charged by deputies. Tye was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment.
