Area police reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Dimari N. Fields, 19, of Jamestown, was charged July 2 with second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the area of Buffalo Street and Beechview Avenue for a reported fight. During the investigation, police said, it was found that Fields was in the presence of a female who has an order of protection against Fields. Fields was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Brian T. Peterson, 58, of Busti, and Tina M. Holland, 41, of Jamestown were both charged July 1 with third-degree criminal trespass. According to police, at about 4 p.m., officers responded to a condemned Eastside address to assist the City Department of Development with people trespassing. Upon arrival, officers determined that Peterson and Holland allegedly were on the condemned property without permission. Both were placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. Both will be in city court later.
– Mason L. Alexander, 29, of Jamestown, was charged July 1 with first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a Southside residence for a reported domestic incident. Officers, police said, determined that Alexander allegedly threatened, over the phone, the protected person who has a valid Jamestown City Court order of protection was in effect. Alexander was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Kyal J. Johnson, 39, of Forestville, was charged July 2 with driving while intoxicated, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and failing to use a turn signal. According to officials, at about 2:06 a.m., deputies conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a vehicle in the town of Pomfret for failing to use a turn signal. The operator was identified as Johnson, and through further investigation he was found allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. Johnson was placed into custody and taken to the Sheriff’s Office where he was processed and later released. He will be in Pomfret Town Court later.
– Brandon T. Reilly, 45, of Fredonia, was charged June 28 with second-degree harassment. According to officials, at 4:40 p.m., deputies and New York State Police Troopers were dispatched to an altercation that took place on Route 20 in the town of Pomfret. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Reilly allegedly struck another individual. Reilly was placed into custody, and was later released. He will be in Pomfret Town Court later.
ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Stephen E. Carlson, 49, of Jamestown, was charged June 26 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a past tense larceny complaint, where it is alleged Carlson took money from the victim. An arrest warrant was issued for Carlson and he was located and taken into custody. He was taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Kasey S. Sweeney, 34, of Jamestown, was charged June 26 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a local establishment, where it is alleged Sweeney took store merchandise. Sweeney will be in town court later.
– Nicole R. Schack, 25, of Warren, Pa., was charged June 26 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Target, 975 Fairmount Ave., where it is alleged Schack passed all points of sale with concealed merchandise. Schack was placed into custody, transported to EPD for processing, and later released. She will be in town court later.
– Patricia J. Crawford, 27, of Jamestown, was charged June 26 with second-degree attempted assault, obstruction of governmental administration, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. According to police, at about 5:10 a.m., officers responded to a disorderly person call, where it is alleged Crawford showed up to the victim’s residence and attempted to attack the victim with a weapon. Crawford then allegedly became increasingly belligerent with Police on scene. Crawford was placed into custody, transported to EPD for processing, and later released. She will be in town court later.
– Melinda A. Larson, 26, of Jamestown was charged June 28 with DWI, and DWI per se. According to police, at about 4:33 a.m., officers responded to a disorderly person complaint, where it is alleged Larson drove in an intoxicated state to the victim’s residence and engaged in an alleged physical altercation. Larson was placed into custody, and transported to EPD for processing. She will be in town court later.
– Xiaorong Qiu, 28, of Lakewood, was charged June 30 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 6:50 p.m. According to police, officers responded to a past-tense larceny complaint, where it is alleged Qiu took multiple items from Target, 975 Fairmount Ave., passing all points of purchase. Qiu was released, and will be in town court later.
WESTFIELD POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Heather L. Close, 35, of Westfield, was charged June 21 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 3:18 p.m., officers were notified of an unsupervised child, walking on Route 394 in front of Ramsey’s Playhouse, 209 N. Portage St. in Westfield. Following an investigation, it is alleged that Close failed to maintain adequate supervision and positive control of her child, placing the child at risk of harm. The child was returned home safely without injury. Close will be in Westfield Town Court later.
