Area police report

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jaclyn Anderson, 46, of Jamestown, was charged June 30 with resisting arrest, and having an outstanding arrest warrant. According to police, at about 4:18 p.m., officers observed Anderson in the area of Newland Avenue and Myrtle Street, knowing she had an outstanding Jamestown City Court warrant. When officers, police said, attempted to place her into custody, Anderson allegedly fled on foot, and after a brief pursuit, she was placed into custody without further incident. She was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in city court later.

– Ami L. Duvall, 48, of Jamestown was charged June 29 with resisting arrest, and having an outstanding arrest warrant. According to police, at about 10:11 p.m., officers responded to an Eastside address to speak with someone involved in a prior incident. Duvall opened the door to the residence, and police said, quickly shut it. Officers knew there was a valid Jamestown City Court arrest warrant, and officers checked the apartment, and located Duvall hiding within a wall cutout within the apartment. After several commands to exit the cutout, Duvall did, and was placed into custody. She was taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.

– Ashley N. Smith, 38, was charged June 30 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. According to police, at about 11:25 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a female slumped behind the wheel of a vehicle. Upon arrival, police said, Smith was found passed out behind the wheel of a non-running vehicle in a parking space. Additionally, police said, officers located fentanyl in plain view on the center console of Smith’s vehicle. Smith was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She was released, and will be in city court later.
