JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Richard A. Goodman III, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. According to police, at about 10:16 a.m., officers responded to a downtown business for a report of an unwanted male. It was determined that Goodman allegedly refused to leave, and was screaming in the lobby. Officers attempted to escort Goodman off the property, and at that point, he allegedly became combative. After a brief struggle, Goodman was placed into custody without further incident. Goodman was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Tyler T. Manelick, was charged March 30 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 10:56 p.m., officers conducted an area check near an auto dealership located at 181 E. Fairmount. Police said, officers observed Manelick allegedly removing scrap metal from behind Shults Hyundai without authorization. Manelick will be in Busti Town Court later.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Stacy J. Seager, 53 , of Falconer was charged April 2 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 1:36 p.m., officers did a well-being check, where it is alleged Seager has failed and refused to exercise control of her child to prevent the child from becoming a neglected child. Seager was issued an appearance ticket, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– John W. Bush, 54 , of Jamestown, was charged March 26 with felony driving while intoxicated, felony driving while ability impaired by drugs, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operate/use a vehicle with an interlock device, and other traffic violations. Police said, at about 10:12 a.m., after observing traffic violations, officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop near Howard Avenue and Baker Street Extension where it is alleged Bush was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol. Police said Bush had been convicted of a DWI in the last 10 years and had a revoked New York State driver’s license for the DWI conviction. Bush will be in town court later.

– Paul R. Peru, 46, Jamestown, 46, was charged with third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, DWI, operation of vehicles on approach of authorized emergency vehicles, failure to stop for signal indications, first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, consumption or possession of alcoholic beverages in certain motor vehicles, and three counts of speeding. According to police, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Route 60 and Interstate 86. The vehicle operator, Peru, allegedly failed to comply with emergency vehicle lights and led officers on a vehicle pursuit. Officers apprehended Peru a short time later, and was taken to UMPC Chautauqua for evaluation, released, and then taken to EPD for processing. He was later taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment, and will be in town court later.

– Jason S. Smith, 55, of Celoron, was charged March 19 with second-degree criminal impersonation, and obstructing government administration. According to police, officers conducted a street check on a suspicious man in the area. Officers were attempting to identify the man, where it is alleged Smith failed to stop when commanded to do so by an officer, and then lied to officers about his name numerous times due to having an active New York State Parole warrant. Smith was taken to the county jail for his parole warrant, and for centralized arraignment. Smith will be in town court later.

– Nicholas A. Taylor, 41 , of Falconer, was charged March 31 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a suspicious situation where it is alleged Taylor took items from a local business and left without paying for them. Officers made contact with store employees who said Taylor had not paid for the items. Taylor was placed into custody, and later released with an appearance ticket. He will be in town court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Justin L. Horton, 41, of the town of Stockton, was charged April 2 with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. According to officials, at about 4:36 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a town of Stockton address for a report of a disorderly person. Through investigation, it was found that Horton allegedly took a four wheeler without the owner’s consent, and caused damage to the four-wheeler. Horton was taken into custody, and was taken to the county jail for centralized arraignment. He will be in Stockton Town Court later.

– Jason M. Leone, 50, of the town of Hanover was charged April 3 with DWI, and DWI per se. Officials said, at about 12:54 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Hanover, and the operator was identified as Leone. Further investigation found Leone allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. He was later released with appearance tickets, and will be in Hanover Town Court later.
