JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Ashley Nazario Santiago, 20, and Joseph Hernandez Soto, 20 were both charged Thursday with third-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 10:45 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Santiago and Soto, and it was found that during the dispute, both allegedly damaged property that belonged to one another, police said. Both were placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Santiago and Soto will be in Jamestown City Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Joshua A. Bang, 34, of Busti was charged Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of failure to appear, and third-degree criminal mischief, and Austin R. Karash, 31, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 9 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Pine Ridge Road after officers observed Bang as a passenger in the vehicle. Police said Bang was placed into custody on outstanding warrants issued by LBPD, the Jamestown Police Department and The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. While placing Bang into custody, officers located narcotics inside the vehicle. Bang was taken to Chautauqua County Jail, and Karash was released. Both will be in Busti Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— Gwyn C. Steger, 46, of Fredonia, was charged Thursday with petit larceny. According to officials, at about 7 p.m., deputies responded to a business on Vineyard Drive in the town of Dunkirk for a shoplifting complaint. Through an investigation, it is alleged that Steger stole merchandise and consumable goods from the business. Steger will be in Dunkirk Town Court later.
