CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— PORTLAND — At 2:17 p.m. Saturday, deputies were patrolling on Webster Road and stopped a vehicle for an alleged traffic infraction. Through an investigation it was determined that Andrew C. Harris, 29, of Westfield was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Harris was charged with felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, Unlicensed operator, and uninspected motor vehicle. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
— At approximately 12:20 p.m. Friday, deputies responded to an address on North Road in the town of Pomfret for an alleged larceny. Through an investigation it was found that Jacob H. Tye, 39, of Pomfret did allegedly enter a building and remain in the building unlawfully. Additionally, Tye took property while in the building that did not belong to him. Tye was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree bstructing governmental administration and petit larceny. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Charles N. Milk, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child. At 11:03 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a report of a domestic incident at a residence on the north side of the city. Upon arrival and following an investigation, it was determined that Milk had damaged a screen door and frightened an 8-year-old child during the incident. Milk was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He is currently being held in the Jamestown City Jail pending his arraignment
— Angel M. Torres, 32, of Jamestown, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief.
At around 1018 a.m., officers responded to an address on the eastside of the city for a domestic
dispute. After speaking with the victim, it was discovered that Torres, punched a TV belonging to the victim during a verbal altercation. Torres fled the scene but was located a short distance away from the residence. He was charged without incident and transported to the city jail and was being held pending arraignment by the Jamestown City Court
— John A Gelencser, 63, was charged with driving while under the influence of drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At 1:54 a.m. Tuesday, officers stopped a vehicle in the area of North Main Street and Fluvanna Avenue for state vehicle and traffic infractions. Through investigation it was found that the operator, Gelencser, was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs. He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. Gelencser was arrested without incident and later released to return to city court.
