JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Debra Maldonado, 64, was charged Feb. 25 with having an active warrant, and seventh-degree possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 7:39 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle on Linden Avenue, near Forest Avenue, for an observed traffic infraction. After approaching the vehicle, police said, officers observed Maldonado, who was known to have an active arrest warrant, in the passenger seat. She was placed into custody on the warrant, and after a search of her person, officers located an alleged quantity of methamphetamine in her purse. Maldonado was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Thomas E. Odell, 55, of Jamestown was charged Feb. 26 with driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to police, at about 1:12 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Barret Avenue and Cowden Place for an observed traffic infraction. Through investigation, police said, it was found that Odell was operating the vehicle in an alleged intoxicated condition. Odell was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
– Jessica L. Mcadoo, 32, was charged Feb. 27 with second-degree strangulation, and second-degree harassment. Police said, at about 12:44 a.m. officers responded to an Eastside address for a report of a disorderly female striking others. Through investigation, it was learned that Mcadoo became disorderly inside the residence by allegedly choking one person, and while another person attempted to intervene, Mcadoo allegedly punched the person in the face. She was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. She will be in city court later.
