CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Ian Tyler Ward, 33, of the town of Hanover, and Sarah Kestler, 38 of the town of Hanover were both charged Tuesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Officials said, at about 8:52 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Routes 5 and 20 in the town of Hanover. Ward was the operator, and Kestler was the passenger. Upon further investigation it was found that Ward allegedly failed to dim his vehicle’s headlights while passing other motor vehicles, and both parties are alleged to be in possession of a controlled substance. Ward was later released and will be in Hanover Town Court later. Kestler was found to have active felony warrants, and was released to Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Department, and will be in town court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Brian I. Nowak, 41, was charged Wednesday with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, officers responded to 518 N. Main St., for a domestic dispute. Through investigation it was found that Nowak had an active warrant from the Dunkirk Police Department. Also, Nowak was found to be in alleged possession of buprenorphine and diazepam. Nowak was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Nichole Olmstead, 43, of Dunkirk, was arrested Jan. 15 and charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and single counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of governmental administration.

— Erick Barnes, 54, no address listed, was arrested Jan. 27 and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

— Noel Dominguez, 36, no address listed, was arrested Feb. 3 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second- degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

— Jamie Hebner, 46, no address listed, was arrested Feb. 3 and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

— Kareem Caldwell, 24, no address listed, was arrested Feb. 5 and charged with second-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal trespass, and obstruction of governmental administration.

— Christian Ayala Gonzalez, 38, of Dunkirk, was arrested Feb. 7 and charged with petit larceny.

— Maureen Pagan, 69, no address listed, was arrested Feb. 9 and charged with petit larceny.

— Chastity Martinez, 33, of Dunkirk, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and dog at large.

— Yajaira Herrera-Hernandez, 49, of Dunkirk, was arrested Feb. 10 and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and dog at large.

— Kelly Briggs, 51, no address listed, was arrested Feb. 14 and charged with two counts of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and a single count of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
