Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Daniel J. Pfaffenbach, 45, was charged Wednesday with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to police, at about 11:58 p.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Windsor and Harrison streets, and after an observed traffic violation by a passing motor vehicle, a traffic stop was conducted. Pfaffenbach was identified as the operator, and through investigation it was found that he allegedly had 34 suspensions on 11 dates on his New York State driver’s license. He was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Michael P. Pacheco, 56, of Jamestown, was charged Wednesday with petit larceny and fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and Amy L. Robbins, 43, of Jamestown, was charged Feb. 18 with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 3 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting incident that occurred at a Southside business. It was reported, police said, that a man with a grey beard, blue hoodie, and camouflage pants had entered the business, and allegedly stole a 12-pack of soda pop, and a makeup set. After receiving the man’s description from a store employee, officers located Pacheco. Pacheco was with Robbins who allegedly was holding a 12-pack of soda pop in one hand, and using the other hand to drink from an open can. Pacheco was identified as the alleged shoplifter. Officers placed Pacheco and Robbins into custody, and while searching their property, Pacheco was allegedly found to be in alleged possession of the makeup set. Pacheco and Robbins were taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.
– Wesley M. Pickard III, 50, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, and DWI with a blood-alcohol level over .08 percent. According to police, at about 12:27 a.m., officers responded to West Eight and Cherry streets for a motor vehicle accident. Through investigation, it was found that Pickard allegedly was operating a motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Daryl A. Ferraro, 72, of Lakewood, was charged Wednesday with second-degree criminal mischief, and petit larceny. According to police, officers, with the help of Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies, responded to a larceny call in Lakewood. It was later discovered, police said, that subjects on location were there to repossess a vehicle. While in the process of repossession, it is alleged Ferraro, the vehicle’s owner, got in the vehicle and drove off, causing damage to the tow truck that was used in the process to repossess Ferraro’s vehicle. Ferraro and the vehicle were located some time later, and he was placed into custody and brought to the LBPD station for processing. He will be in Busti Town Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Zach R. Roche, 25, of Hanover, was charged Wednesday with second-degree harassment. Officials said at about 6:36 p.m. deputies responded to a report of an altercation in the town of Hanover. Upon further investigation, it was alleged that Roche allegedly did spit on and threaten to harm another person. Roche was placed into custody, and taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized processing. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.
