LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
-Julie M. Whiting, 45, of Jamestown, was charged Feb. 6 with second-degree assault, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 11:20 a.m., officers responded to a Lawson Road address in the town of Busti for a peace officer complaint. While at the residence, police said, Whiting allegedly became disorderly, and slammed a wooden door into an officer causing injury to the officer’s arm and hand. While being placed into custody, Whiting allegedly pulled away from officers and physically resisted arrest. She will be in Busti Town Court later.
