Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Josniel Morales, 23, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 25 with four counts of second-degree criminal contempt, and having outstanding arrest warrants. According to police, at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address to conduct a warrant check. Upon arrival, officers were aware of an order of protection between the involved people. Police said the protected person gave permission to officers to enter the residence. Officers made contact with Morales, who has an order of protection requiring him to stay away from the protected person, and the person’s three children. Morales was placed into custody without incident and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Aliyah L. Maher, 19, was charged Jan. 22 with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, failure to maintain lane, having a license restriction, and having an open container in a vehicle. According to police, at about 9 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the town of Busti near Big Tree Road. During the stop, officers observed Maher allegedly make secretive movements while sitting in the driver’s seat. Through investigation, officers observed a small bag which contained an off-white powdery, narcotic-appearing substance resting in the passenger floor board area. Upon further investigation, officers found that Maher allegedly was operating the vehicle on a learner’s permit, and allegedly had open containers of alcohol in the vehicle. Police said the substance in the bag tested positive for 1.6 ounces of cocaine. Maher was placed into custody and will be in Busti Town Court later.
– Alexandrea E. Davis, 39, was charged Jan. 22 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 10 p.m., Davis was stopped by Walmart Asset Protection investigators and officers after attempting to leave Walmart with unpaid merchandise. She will be in town court later.
– Kristen A. McCauley, 42, was charged Jan. 24 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 10:30 p.m., McCauley was observed by Walmart Asset Protection investigators passing all points of sale with $100 worth of unpaid merchandise. Investigators contacted McCauley, and shortly after officers arrived and placed McCauley into custody. She will be in town court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Giovanni E. Collver, 23, of Falconer, was charged Jan. 24 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and speeding. According to officials, at about 1:57 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on North Work Street in the Village of Falconer. Upon further investigation it was found that Collver allegedly was operating the motor vehicle while intoxicated. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Kadan R. Myers, 21, of Falconer, was charged Jan. 24 with DWI, DWI per se, and failure to stop at a stop sign. According to officials, at about 8:03 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Conway Road in the Town of French Creek. Further investigation found Myers allegedly was driving while intoxicated. French Town Creek Court later.
