JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Joshua M. Ross, 37, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 20 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 7:43 a.m., officers responded to a Northside business for a reported shoplifting incident. Police said store staff reported that a male suspect allegedly had taken two steaks without paying. Officers located Ross a short distance away from the business, and was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Ross will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Alivia M. Salverson, 22, Jamestown, was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration. According to police, at about 10:13 a.m., officers responded to a westside residence for a reported domestic dispute. While on scene, officers observed Salverson outside the residence yelling loudly as she allegedly interfered with the investigation despite being given multiple lawful commands to stop. While being placed into custody, Salverson allegedly refused to comply with commands to sit in the patrol vehicle. After a brief struggle, Salverson was secured, and taken to the city jail without further incident. Salverson will be in city court later.
