JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Darius J. Thomas, 23, was charged Jan. 6 with third-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, criminal obstruction of breathing, and third-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about midnight, officers were dispatched to a Southside residence where Thomas had returned. Police said, earlier officers took a complaint from a victim that Thomas had allegedly committed multiple offenses. Upon arrival at the residence, Thomas jumped out of a second story window in an attempt to elude officers. Thomas was quickly placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Samantha A. Omeruo, 34, of Jamestown was charged Jan. 6 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 3 a.m., officers responded to a Northside address for an in-progress domestic dispute which was reported to involve a knife. Upon further investigation it was found that Omeruo allegedly did wave a knife around while a juvenile was in close proximity. She was placed in custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Omeruo will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Heather Babyak, 55, of Jamestown, was charged Jan. 7 with third-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 12:20 a.m., officers responded to UPMC Chautauqua for an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Babyak. Through investigation, it was found that Babyak became disorderly inside the hospital, and allegedly caused damage to a wall. She was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. Babyak will be in city court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jason M. Skinner, 45, of Jamestown, and Erica A. Skinner, 41, of Jamestown, were both charged Jan. 5 with two counts each of endangering the welfare of a child, and one county each of petit larceny. According to police, at about 5:05 p.m. officers responded to Wal-Mart for an in-progress larceny. Upon further investigation, it was determined that Jason Skinner and Erica Skinner allegedly stole merchandise from the store in the presence of their two young children. Both were placed into custody, and will be in Busti Town Court later.
