CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— SILVER CREEK — A village resident is facing charges after a domestic incident Wednesday. At around 3:56 p.m., members of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office as well as the New York State Police were dispatched to an address. After investigation it was found that Joseph R. Miller III, 25, did intentionally cause physical injury to another person when he did punch another male in the residence in the face causing injury. This incident did occur in the presence of two juveniles who suffer from cognitive disabilities. Miller was charged with third-degree assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment.

— HANOVER — At about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an alleged traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Dre A. Jock, 33, of Hanover. After further investigation Jock was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI Per Se, aggravated DWI, and no/ inadequate lights. He will answer charges in town court.
