Stockton Man Charged After Fire

A Stockton man is facing charges after a fire on Dec. 11.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department Deputies have charged Keith J. Carlson, 38, of Stockton with second-degree attempted arson.

According to officials, at about 9:24 a.m., deputies, and troopers from the New York State Police Fredonia barracks responded to an address on Cassadaga Stockton Road in the town of Stockton for a report of an altercation.

Upon further investigation found that Carlson allegedly did intentionally set various items inside of the residence on fire while in a dispute with another person in the residence.

Carlson was placed into custody, and was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. He will be in Stockton Town Court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Jaxon V. McCloskey, 18, of the town of Portland, was charged Dec. 7 with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to officials, at about 4:16 a.m. deputies responded to Pullman Road in the Village of Brocton for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Through investigation, it was determined that McCloskey allegedly was driving while intoxicated. He was placed in custody and transported to the Pomfret substation for processing. He was released and will be in Portland Town Court later.
