JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Matthew L. Brown, 27, of Jamestown, was charged Dec. 1 with second-degree criminal contempt, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 12:15 p.m., officers responded to a southside address for a reported larceny and order of protection violation. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated that Brown allegedly stole a speaker from her and violated an order of protection. Officers located Brown a short distance away and he was taken into custody without incident. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Gabriel L. Specht, 34, was charged Dec. 2 with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. According to police, at about 5:51 a.m., officers responded to UPMC for a report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Specht who was allegedly refusing to leave the hospital, and threatening staff members. Specht allegedly failed to obey officers’ commands to leave the property. Officers assisted Gabriel off of a hospital
bed, where he then allegedly tried to kick an officer. He was quickly placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. Due to his alleged disorderly behavior, police said, this was the fourth time officers had dealt with Specht. He will be in city court later.
