JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Anthony L. Anzalone, 49, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 11:21 p.m., officers responded to a Northside address for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female victim. It was discovered that Anzalone allegedly had destroyed her property, inside her residence, and then fled the scene. Officers observed Anzalone attempting to get in his vehicle, but after seeing the patrol car, he fled on foot into nearby woods. After a brief search of the area, officers located Anzalone trying to hide under a fallen tree. He was placed into custody, and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. Anzalone will be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Jessica B. Brown, 31, of Jamestown, and Joshua S. Pangborn, 45, of Jamestown were both charged Tuesday with overdriving, torturing and injuring animals, and failure to provide proper sustenance. According to police, at about 3:30 p.m., officers responded to an Eastside address to assist the Department of Development and Probation with a home check. Through investigation, it was found that Brown and Pangborn allegedly had failed to provide food and water for six dogs and four cats. In July, both Brown and Pangborn were convicted of failure to provide sustenance to animals. Both were placed in custody, taken to the city jail, and will be in city court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– James A. Howard, 32, of Fredonia, was charged Tuesday with second-degree menacing, and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. According to officials, at about 3:30 a.m., deputies responded to a report of an altercation in Brocton. It was alleged Howard pointed a gun at another individual, and Howard then fled the scene in a vehicle. Deputies spotted Howard in the alleged vehicle, and conducted a vehicle traffic stop. Upon further investigation it was found that Howard allegedly did point a BB gun at another person and allegedly was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Howard will be in Portland Town Court later.
– Justin L. Horton, 41, of Stockton, was charged Wednesday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, being an unlicensed operator of a motor vehicle, making an unsafe lane change, driving below minimum posted speed limit, avoiding an intersection, improper signal, failing to comply with a lawful order, and having an unsafe tire. According to officials deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 430 in the town of Chautauqua for observed traffic violations. Horton allegedly failed to pull over his vehicle for deputies, and continued to drive erratically at slow speeds before coming to a stop on Mill Street. Horton allegedly did obstruct deputies during the investigation and allegedly resisted while being taken into custody. Upon further investigation, deputies located a small quantity of methamphetamine on Horton’s person. Horton was placed into custody, and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail. He will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
