JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Rachel S. Anderson, of Pennsylvania, was charged Oct. 11 with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia while Shane M. Hurburt, of Pennsylvania was charged tow counts seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and being a fugitive from justice. According to police, at about 8:16 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Cole Avenue and Snell Place. Through investigation leading to a search of the vehicle, officers found 241.9 grams of methamphetamine, 6.6 grams of individually packaged fentanyl, a digital scale, and additional drug paraphernalia. Both were placed into custody and taken to the Jamestown City Jail, police said. While at the jail it was also found that Hurlburt had an outstanding parole warrant from Pennsylvania, and allegedly was in possession of an additional quantity of methamphetamine and cocaine on his person. Both will be in Jamestown City Court later.

— Schuyler S. Coleman, 28, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 13 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 7:53 p.m., officers responded to the UPMC emergency room for a report of a disorderly person. Upon arrival, officers were informed that Coleman allegedly had damaged property belonging to the hospital. He was placed into custody and taken to city jail. Coleman will be in city court later.

— Wendy K. Merrill, 49, of Jamestown, and Tiffany A. Mahoney, 43, of Jamestown, were each charged Oct. 9 with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia while David Burkhart III, 32, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and with having an outstanding Jamestown City Court warrant. According to police, at about 12:04 p.m., members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at 17 W. Seventh St. upper apartment. Merrill, Mahoney and five other people were located in the apartment, and Burkhart was located on the front porch of the residence, actively trying to be let in to the apartment as officers approached the residence. After the residence was secured, detectives searched it and located 10.4 grams of methamphetamine, 7.3 grams of fentanyl, a small amount of crack cocaine, digital scales, packaging materials, hypodermic needles, and a small amount of cash. Merill, Mahoney, and Burkhart were placed into custody and taken to city jail. Merill, Mahoney, and Burkhart will be in city court later. The other five people located in the apartment were released from the scene without charges. The Jamestown Department of Development was called to the scene due to the deplorable condition of the apartment and ultimately condemned the residence. — Robert J. Santiago, 56, of Jamestown, and Melissa E. Santiago, 29, of Jamestown were each charged Oct. 14 with two counts of overdrivering, torturing, and injuring animals, and failure to provide sustenance. According to police, at about 3:31 p.m., officers responded to a northside address for a report of animal cruelty. Upon arrival, officers observed two malnourished dogs in poor health. Robert and Melissa were placed into custody, and the dogs were seized. Both will be in city court later.

— Todd A. Haskins, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 15 with second-degree criminal impersonation, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and Christine J. Muoio, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal impersonation. According to police, at about 1:33 a.m., officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Hazeltine and Delaware avenues for an observed traffic infraction. Upon further investigation it was found that two of the passengers in the vehicle allegedly had provided officers with false identities due to them having outstanding warrants. Haskins also was found to allegedly be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Both were placed into custody without incident, and taken to city jail. Both will be in city court later.

— Matthew C. Hillman, 40, no address given, was charged Oct. 13 with first-degree criminal contempt, and second-degree harassment. According to police, at about 10:38 p.m., officers responded to a domestic dispute on the south side. Upon further investigation it was found that Hillman allegedly violated an order of protection by threatening physical contact. Hillman was placed into custody and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— Kimberly A. Cook, 60, of Irving, was charged Oct. 14, with second-degree menacing, and Kaitlin E. Parker, 29, of Irving was charged with third-degree assault. According to officials, deputies received a past tense altercation on Buffalo Road, in the town Of Hanover. Upon further investigation it was determined that Parker did allegedly strike Cook multiple times. Cook did attempt to strike Parker with a baseball bat. Both will be in town court later.
