JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Anthony M. Camarata, 41, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 9 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 7:22 p.m., officers responded to a report of shoplifting at the Dollar General on Winsor Street. Upon arrival, officers located Camarata a short distance from the store who matched the description provided by a store employee. While being placed in custody, officers found the alleged stolen merchandise on Camarata. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Kaisha Diaz, 27, of Jamstown, was charged Oct. 9 with third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, and criminal obstruction of breathing. According to police, at about 5:50 p.m., officers responded to a call of an unwanted person on the city’s north side. During the investigation, it was discovered that Diaz had allegedly engaged in an altercation with the victim. During the incident, Diaz allegedly bit, struck, attempted to choke the victim, and damaged a window screen before fleeing the scene. A short time later, officers located Diaz at her residence and was placed into custody. She was taken to city jail and will be in city court later.

– Brandon L. Adams, 23, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 10 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 7:22 p.m., officers responded to an eastside address for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Adams, and it was found that Adams got into an altercation where he allegedly kicked a door that struck the 17-year-old victim causing a hand injury. He was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Richard E. Rasmussen, 22, of Jamestown, was charged Oct. 11 with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. According to police, officers stopped a vehicle on the north side after observing multiple traffic violations. The vehicle was stopped, and upon further investigation it was found that Rasmussen was allegedly operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Angel G. Ramos-Gonzalez, 26, of Dunkirk was charged Oct. 11 with two counts of first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree criminal trespass, and second-degree harassment. According to police, at about 7:09 a.m., officers were called to a southside residence for a domestic dispute in progress. Upon arrival, officers contacted the female victim, and found that Ramos-Gonzalez allegedly and unlawfully entered the residence by unknown means. After further investigation, he was found to be in violation of an order of protection, and found to have multiple outstanding felony warrants related to previous incidents and the same residence. He was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Clarence J. Williams III, of Dunkirk, was charged Oct. 11 with resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, false personation, tampering with physical evidence, and having an outstanding warrant from the Hamburg Police Department. According to police, at about 1:20 a.m., officers were conducting a Gun Involved Violence Elimination (GIVE) Initiative target patrol detail when officers observed a vehicle committing traffic violations in the area of East Sixth and Grant streets. Officers stopped the vehicle, and upon further investigation, it was found that Williams allegedly attempted to provide a false name to try to evade arrest on his outstanding warrant. Because of his statement to officers, officers advised Williams to exit from the vehicle of which he failed to comply, police said. Officers then had to extricate Williams from the vehicle, and Williams allegedly began to resist officers. After a brief struggle

officers were able to remove Clarence from the vehicle. While outside of the vehicle, Williams attempted to discard a quantity of cocaine from his person and destroy it while on scene. He was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Bryant D. Watts, 54, no address given, was charged Oct. 10 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 2 p.m., officers responded to a northside business for a shoplifting complaint. Upon arrival, it was found that store employees observed Watts allegedly steal merchandise. Watts was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. He will be in city court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Gregory Negron-Garcia, 45, of Dunkirk, was charged Oct. 10 with speeding,DWI, and DWI per se. According to officials, around 10:49 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in Dunkirk for a vehicle speeding. Upon further investigation it was found that the operator was Negron-Garcia. Negron-Garcia was placed into custody, and will be in Dunkirk City Court later.
