CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

SHERMAN — At around 11:14 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Sherman-Stedman Road.

The operator was identified as Derek R. Davis. Further investigation found Davis to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and Speed in Zone. He will be in court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

James T. Leonard Jr., 18, of Jamestown was charged with second-degress unlawful imprisonment.

On Friday at 11:50 p.m., officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute on the east side of the city. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Leonard. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that during the dispute, James had restrained the victim, preventing her from leaving the residence. Leonard was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he was being held pending arraignment.
