LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Cheryl A. Bartz, 44, of Batavia, was charged Sept. 28 with driving while intoxicated, and unsafe backing. According to police, at about 7:35 p.m., officers responded to Chautauqua Avenue, in Lakewood, for a motor vehicle accident. Upon further investigation, Bartz was found to be allegedly operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. Bartz was placed into custody, and will be in Busti Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Jennifer L. Yanik, 48, of Lakewood, and Jeffrey D. Bohall, 40, of Jamestown, were both charged Sept. 29 with third-degree assault. According to police, at about 4:33 p.m., officers were called to a Southside address for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers located Yanik, and Bohall residence with physical injuries. After further investigation, it was determined that Yanik and Bohall allegedly engaged in a physical altercation. Yanik, and Bohall were placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. Both will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Charles J. Murphy, 46, of Jamestown was charged Sept. 29 with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and having an outstanding JPD arrest warrant. According to police, at about 1:13 p.m., officers responded to an Eastside residence to assist the City Code Enforcement department in clearing a house that was scheduled to be condemned. During the inspection, officers discovered that two children under 16, had been living in deplorable conditions. Murphy was placed into custody, and taken to city jail. Murphy will be in city court later.
