Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Crystal R. Borst, 35, no address given, was charged Sept. 25 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 1:4 a.m., officers were patrolling the area of 518 N. Main St., near the 7-Eleven store. Officers, police added, observed Borst, who had an active Jamestown City Court Bench Warrant, leaving the store. Upon further investigation, Borst was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl. Borst was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail.
– Isaac J. Baxter, 28, of Mayville, was charged Sept. 24 with first-degree criminal contempt, and second-degree aggravated harassment. According to police, at about 10:36 p.m., officers responded to an Eastside residence for a past tense harassment complaint. Upon further investigation it was found that Baxter allegedly violated an order of protection by threatening to cause physical harm to a protected person. With the assistance of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s office, JPD Officers located Baxter and he was placed into custody without incident, and taken to city jail. Baxter will be in city court later.
– Richard C. Neal, 42, of Jamestown, was charged Sept. 25 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, at about 12:30 a.m., while patrolling the downtown area, officers noticed a flower bed owned by the city had been destroyed. Upon further investigation, officers determined that Neal had been allegedly swinging a metal-type rope at the flower bed at about 8 p.m. on Sept. 24. Officers located Neal, and placed him into custody without incident. Neal was taken to city jail, and will be in city court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
CHAUTAUQUA – Donald A. Baker, 66, no address given, was charged Wednesday with first-degree sexual abuse. It is alleged that a victim disclosed to deputies of unwanted sexual contact by Baker earlier in the month in the town of Chautauqua. Baker was placed into custody and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.
