CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– SILVER CREEK – Daniel J. Ulrich, 39, of Silver Creek was charged Wednesday at 7:40 p.m. with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct. It is alleged that Ulrich intentionally struck another person at 23 Jackson St. He was released to appear in the Town of Hanover court at a later date and time to answer for these charges.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Sean M. McIlveen, 48, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers responded to a request to assist parole officers on the north side of the city at 7:35 a.m. Wednesday. Parole officers told responding JPD officers they had an active warrant for McIlveen. While searching McIlveen prior to transport they allegedly found him with methamphetamine. McIlveen was transferred to Jamestown police custody and transported to the city jail. While in the jail, McIlveen was also allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of opiates. McIlveen was arraigned in city court and was taken to the county jail on his parole warrant.

– Kelly Mayne, 31, and John Claydon, 34, both of Jamestown, face charges after officers patrolling the north side found them in a vehicle together at 4:05 p.m. Sept. 17 knowing they had orders of protection to stay away from each other. Officers took both into custody without incident. Mayne was allegedly found with suboxone strips for which she had no prescription while Claydon allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine. Mayne was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Claydon was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Mayne also had a Jamestown City Court warrant. Both were taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.

– Joseph B. Trippe, 25 of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument on Wednesday after officers responded to a call regarding an unwanted person at the Dollar General on Winsor Street. During the investigation, it was discovered Trippe allegedly attempted to purchase several items using forged currency. Trippe was taken into custody without further incident and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. Due to Trippe’s numerous failures to appear before the Jamestown City Court, he is being held pending his arraignment.

– William E.L. Blakey, 37, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday when officers were working as part of a G.I.V.E targeted patrol detail with the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office in the area of East Eighth Street and American Place. Officers reportedly saw Blakey sitting on the steps in the alleyway actively preparing to inject narcotics. Police report Blakey saw the officers and stopped. Blakey was taken into custody without incident and a subsequent search allegedly yielded narcotics. Blakey was transported to the city jail and held pending arraignment due to his 14 prior failures to appear in court.
