Area Police Reports
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Kaylee M. Smith, 33, of Frewsburg was charged with second-degree harassment and third-degree criminal tampering at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 31. It’s alleged Smith threw a large soft drink striking an employee at a local fast food business in Ellicott. Smith was later found in Frewsburg and issued an appearance ticket. Smith will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Richard A. Reyes, 37, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, obstruction of governmental administration, and resisting arrest at 6:18 p.m. Sept. 1 after officers responded to a reported suspicious person. Reyes allegedly entered a residence in Falconer. After being stopped by officers, Reyes left on foot and allegedly actively resisted arrest. Reyes was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– William J. Merecki, 39, of Falconer was charged with second-degree harassment and disorderly conduct at 4:57 p.m. Sept. 3 after officers responded to a disorderly person complaint. It’s alleged Merecki was causing a disturbance in a neighborhood that led to unreasonable noise. Merecki had also allegedly made threats of harm to a neighbors’ well-being and property. Merecki was issued an appearance ticket and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. He will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Michael J Harmon, 49, of California was charged with petit larceny at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 4 after Ellicott police responded to a suspicious situation, where it is alleged Harmon passed the point of sale with merchandise from the store without paying. Harmon was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Dustin D. Pickett, 37, of Ellicott was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 11 a.m. Sept. 5. Ellicott police responded to a despondent person complaint, where it is alleged the victim had a stay away order of protection against Pickett, who allegedly violated the order. Pickett was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Pickett will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Donna J. Torres, 68, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree falsely reporting an incident on Sept. 8 after officers responded to a criminal nuisance complaint. It’s alleged Torres pulled the fire alarm inside of a private business for reasons other than to report a fire or incident. Torres was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE
– Zachary D. Card, 33, of Ashville was charged with DWAI Drugs and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 6:24 p.m. Sept. 3 after a traffic stop at Baker Street and Southwestern Drive. According to a police report, Card was allegedly driving under the influence of drugs/narcotics and was allegedly in possession of Xanax pills. Card will be in Busti Town Court later.
