CHAUTAUQUA

COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– WESTFIELD – Randy P. Desin, 47, of North East, Pa. was charged Aug. 30 with Driving While Intoxicated, DWI per se, and speeding following a traffic stop in the town. He was taken into custody and later released with appearance tickets.

– WESTFIELD – Shyron A. Campbell, 40, of Westfield was charged Friday at 1:10 a.m. with aggravated criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. Deputies allege that Campbell hit a person causing serious physical injury. He was transported to the county jail for arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Samantha J. Lugo, 24, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest, first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree assault at 6:09 a.m. Thursday after officers patrolling the area of Winsor and Harrison streets say they saw Lugo, who was known to have an active warrant out of Jamestown City Court. Upon making contact with Lugo she allegedly ran from officers, leading them on a brief foot pursuit. Once she was caught, Lugo allegedly began to strike officers before being placed into custody after a brief struggle. It was also found that Lugo was allegedly in violation of an order of protection against the man she was walking with. Once in the city jail, Lugo then allegedly hit an officer with the jail phone causing injury. Lugo was held pending arraignment in the city jail.

WESTFIELD POLICE

– Jennifer L. Blake, 36, of Sinclairville and Thomas M. Fafinski II, 42, of Dunkirk taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment Tuesday after Westfield police officers, assisted by state parole officers, served arrest warrants. Fafinski and Blake both had an active arrest warrant for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property for an incident that occurred at the end of July in the village of Westfield. Officers found Blake and Fafinski were in possession of items that were stolen from a resident of Westfield and filed for an arrest warrant after the investigation was complete.

– Angel Travis, 23, and George Travis, 61, both of Westfield, were charged with abandonment of an animal on Aug. 30 following an investigation into and abandonment of a dog. and the issuance of an arrest warrant out of Westfield Town Court. Earlier in the month, officers were summoned to the residence of Angel Travis and George Travis after neighbors and the property owner noticed that they had not been home in several days. It was reported that there was a dog left inside the residence during that time. During the course of the investigation, officers found that the Travis’ had moved to another state and left their dog inside their former residence unattended. The officers found feces throughout the residence, no food or water for the dog and that nobody had taken care of the dog for several days. The dog was taken by Westfield Police to a local animal shelter; officers report the dog is doing well and is healthy at this time. Angel and George Travis are scheduled to be in the Town of Westfield Court later time to face an Agriculture and Markets law charge of abandonment of an animal.
