CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
MAYVILLE — A Portville woman is facing a number of charges after a traffic accident at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 11.
Deputies responded to an incident with injury at Routes 394 and 430. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that one of the vehicles involved had fled the scene.
A short time later the vehicle was located at a residence and the operator identified as Penny A. Payne, 66, of Portville.
After an investigation it was found that Payne was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated state. Payne was taken into custody and charged with felony DWI (Leandra’s Law), endangering the welfare of a child, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and failure to yield right of way. Payne was released and will be at the town of Chautauqua Court later.
— HANOVER — Deputies conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle committing a traffic violation at 11:34 p.m. Thursday. The operator was identified as Rodney W. Keyes, 64, of Irving, and was found to be driving while intoxicated on Iola Drive and Allegany Road. Keyes will be in court later.
— WESTFIELD — At 12:51 a.m. Sunday, deputies of the responded to a reported altercation that occurred in the village. Through investigation it was found that 41-year-old Louren Neves of Syracuse did subject another individual to unwanted physical contact. Neves was charged with second-degree harassment and was taken into custody without further incident and was brought to the Chautauqua County Jail for the Centralized Arraignment Program.
— BEMUS POINT — At 12:52 a.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Center Street. The operator was identified as Jaron C. Pollino, 32, of Lakewood.
Further investigation found Pollino to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and speed in zone. He will be in Ellery court later.
— POMFRET — At 12:33 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a single motor vehicle accident on Chautauqua Road. The operator was identified as Dakota M. Couchman, 30, of Fredonia. Further investigation found Couchman to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, and unsafe backing. He will be in town court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Alexandra M. Peterson, 37, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal contempt.
At about 7:24 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a domestic dispute on the south end of the city. The investigation revealed that Peterson forcibly removed a Ringstyle doorbell camera from the residence, causing damage to the device, and engaged in physical contact with the male victim in violation of an active order of protection.
Peterson was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.
— Zachery RC. Vorse, 22, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
At 11:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a South side address for a wellbeing check. Through an investigation, it was discovered that a domestic incident had occurred earlier in the day involving Vorse. Vorse attacked a juvenile victim and caused physical injury to them. He was placed into custody without incident and transported to the city jail where he was held pending arraignment.
— Dakota M. Morse, 28, of Jamestown, was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and second-degree unlawful imprisonment. At 3:42 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the north side of the city in response to a frantic 911 call requesting for police to respond urgently. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Morse had attempted to forcibly detain a female victim by pulling her by the sweatshirt along the street. This act additionally obstructed the victim’s ability to breathe. Morse fled the scene prior to officers arrival but was located shortly after and taken into custody.
— Jeson SD Allen, 37, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny. At 10:47 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to Tops Friendly Market on the South side for a shoplifting in-progress. When officers arrived, the suspect identified himself as Allen and was still outside the store. A store employee had watched Allen steal items belonging to Tops and exit the store without paying. Allen was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where he was booked and released and will return to court later.
— Cody DiDomenico, 21, of Jamestown, was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. At about 3:45 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to an address on the east side of the city for a domestic dispute. Following the investigation, officers learned that DiDomenico struck the victim in the face while the victim had an active order of protection against DiDomenico. It was further revealed the incident took place in the presence of the victim’s child.
DiDomenico was located nearby shortly after and taken into custody by officers without incident.
