JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Terrance M. Mccrae, 45, of Jamestown was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after police responded to a reported suspicious situation at 9:53 a.m. Thursday at American Place and Fulton Street. According to a police report, officers responded to the area of American Place and Fulton Street following a report of three men engaged in a heated argument and allegedly pointing handguns at each other. Upon arrival, officers observed one of the individuals running behind nearby houses. Police identified the man as Mccrae, who allegedly had an active felony warrant issued by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Firearm – Previous Conviction). McRae was found and arrested He was transported to Jamestown City Jail to address an outstanding petit larceny arrest warrant, after which he was transferred to the Chautauqua County Jail for further processing.
– Michael L. Morley II, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny after officers responded to a south side residence for a reported theft of a lawn mower and gas can from a garage. Officers obtained surveillance from a nearby resident and allegedly saw Morley II leaving with the items at around 3:14 p.m. Officers followed up at another address and reportedly found Morley inside. Morley was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Jacqueline R. Cruz, 30, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault, fourth-degree grand larceny and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child at 11:35 a.m. July 29 after officers responded to a reported fight in the area of E. Fourth and Pine streets. Cruz allegedly confronted a woman inside a business in the area. Cruz then allegedly gave her child to a stranger so that she could go outside to fight the other person, who was pushing a baby in a stroller. Police say Cruz assaulted the person as she was leaving the business, causing the stroller to roll towards the street. During a search after Cruz was arrested, officers allegedly found the victim’s cell phone in Cruz’s possession, which was stolen following the altercation. Cruz was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
