Area Police Reports
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Alexis Lopez Rosa was charged with first-degree attempted robbery, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing at 3:37 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a north side address for a complaint of a person with a weapon. Officers spoke to a person who said an unknown man approached them with a handgun and attempted to steal his BMX bicycle while pointing a gun at them. Officers were able to find a man matching the robber’s description nearby and identified him as Alexis Lopez Rosa, who was allegedly in possession of a BB gun. Rosa was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Sheri M. Hawkins, 53, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to the west side for a report of a domestic dispute. Hawkins allegedly was violating an order of protection. She was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Brian D. Loewenheim, 25, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree assault at 11:10 a.m. July 27 after Ellicott police responded to a domestic incident where it is alleged Loewenheim hit a person in the face, causing injury. Loewenheim was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Loewenheim will be in court later.
– Kayin J.A. Ziolkowski, 21, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 10 a.m. July 25 after Ellicott police responded to a report of an unwanted person at an establishment in Falconer. It’s alleged Ziolkowski was in violation of a complete stay away order of protection of the victim. Ziolkowski was charged and given an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Dustin D. Pickett, 36, of Ellicott was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny on April 28. Ellicott police responded to a report of a missing vehicle. It’s alleged Pickett reached through the doorway of the person’s apartment and took the keys off of the wall. Pickett then took the vehicle without permission and allegedly ended up crashing the vehicle hours later in Cleveland, Ohio. Pickett, according to police, returned to Chautauqua County where he was arrested for the listed charges. Pickett will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Ellery J. Bauer, 53, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment at 11 p.m. July 23 after officers responded to a domestic dispute where it is alleged Bauer hit a person and damaged property inside of a West Ellicott residence. Bauer was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. Bauer will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Aaron A. Johnson, 30, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 7:08 a.m. July 30 after Ellicott police responded to a report of a disorderly person. It is alleged Johnson had broken multiple window screens. Johnson was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for a centralized arraignment. Johnson will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
