JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Cassandra M Hicks, 27, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 9:54 a.m. July 2 after officers responded to probation, where probation officers had Hicks detained with suspected drugs in her possession during her probation visit. Hicks allegedly was found in possession of methamphetamine and was taken to the city jail and later released.

– Michael C. Hillman, 38, of Jamestown was charged with a felony arrest warrant for first-degree criminal contempt, first-degree criminal contempt, aggravated criminal contempt and third-degree assault after officers responded to a domestic incident on the city’s west side. Officers report finding Hillman at the scene. The city man allegedly assaulted a woman while violating an order of protection to stay away from her. Additionally, Hillman was found to have an active warrant for violating the same order of protection. Hillman was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

ELLICOTT POLICE

– Darla M. Close, 65, of Lakewood was charged with third-degree assault July 17 at 10:55 p.m. after Ellicott police responded to a domestic dispute in progress where it is alleged Close went over to a residence in Ellicott and was in a physical altercation with a person, causing injury. Close was taken into custody and taken to the Ellicott Police Department, where she was issued an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
