JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Tyler P. Brown, 33, and Jordan T. Austin, 34, were each charged with second-degree criminal trespass at 7:11 p.m. July 21 after officers responded to a north side address for a reported trespassing. Officers confirmed that the residence was condemned by the Jamestown Development Department and allegedly found Brown and Austin inside. Both were taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.

– Dylan M. Abbey, 33, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest at 6:22 a.m. July 20 after officers responded to a north side address for a report of an unwanted male. Police say Abbey was the unwanted man at the home and was known to have active arrest warrants out of Jamestown City Court. As officers were about to make contact with Abbey, he alleged ran away and, after a brief foot pursuit, was taken into custody and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. Abbey was allegedly found in possession of 42.8 grams of methamphetamine and 1.6 grams of fentanyl. Abbey was held in the city jail pending arraignment.

– Lawrence Gibbons, 48, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of aggravated harassment (hate crime), endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest at 11:35 a.m. July 20 after officers responded to a Foote Avenue business for a report of a disorderly person inside. When officers arrived on scene it was found that person had allegedly thrown water at one victim and pushed a child while also allegedly yelling racial slurs toward the victims. Police report the person was found a short distance away from the business. As officers approached him and advised him he was under arrest the man allegedly ran from officers. After a brief foot pursuit officers took the man into custody without further incident. Gibbons was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Kenneth Mosley, 42, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief at 6:55 p.m. July 19 after officers responded to a downtown address after a reported fight. Mosley allegedly damaged the victim’s glasses. Mosley was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Russell S. Sims, 31, of Jamestown and Sharriah L. Funkhouser, 29, of Jamestown were both charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (intent to sell) and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, while Sims was additionally cited for a traffic citation after a traffic stop at 4:20 a.m. July 20 after officers pulled over a vehicle for an observed vehicle and traffic law infraction on the east side of the city. Through investigation, it was found that Sims and Funkhouser were allegedly in possession of 13.7 grams of fentanyl, 6.7 grams of cocaine, ecstasy, a scale commonly used in illegal drug sales, and individual packaging materials. Both were charged and taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.

WESTFIELD POLICE

– Eric A. Decker, 41, of Bemus Point was charged with felony DWI, felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device and standing/parking on pavement at 9:43 p.m. July 12 after Westfield police officers responded to the area of Route 5 and North Portage Street for a vehicle complaint. Officers report finding a vehicle in the middle of the highway, stopped in traffic. Officers approached the vehicle and found the driver to allegedly be intoxicated. Decker will be in Westfield Town Court later.
