WESTFIELD POLICE

– Clarence J. Williams III, 45, of the Thruway Motel, Westfield, was charged with failure to verify as a sex offender at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday by Westfield police officers. According to a police report, Westfield police officers received a tip Tuesday that a Level 2 registered sex offender was living in the Thruway Motel in Westfield without properly updating his address with local law enforcement or the state Sex Offender Registry. Police say Williams had been living in the Thruway Motel since June 2, 2025, through arrangements with the county Social Services Department and hadn’t notified proper authorities within the 10-day period as required by law. He was charged and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail until he could be arraigned.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Cassandra A. Nickerson, 23, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing after officers responded to a domestic incident at 5:10 p.m. Thursday at a north side address. Upon arrival and through further investigation it was determined Cassandra A. Nickerson allegedly hit a person in the face, forcibly removed the person’s shirt, and held the victim by the throat for an undetermined period of time. Nickerson was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

– Cardiair L. Jones, 29, of Jamestown was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 5:10 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to an east side address for a reported physical domestic incident. Upon arrival, officers reported finding Jones in a verbal argument with another person. Upon further investigation, it was found Jones allegedly caused damage to the person’s property. Jones was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE

– Debra Leeper, 57, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny after officers responded to the Lakewood Walmart for a reported shoplifting in progress. Leeper was charged and will be in Busti Town Court later.
