JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Sarah E. Johnson of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt due to a prior conviction at 5:40 p.m. Tuesday after a traffic stop near the Foote Avenue plaza. According to a police report, officers pulled a vehicle over near Foote and Cole avenues for a traffic infraction. Johnson was allegedly in a vehicle with a protected party of a Stay Away Order of Protection issued by Jamestown City Court. She was charged and taken to the city jail until she can be arraigned.

– Bracken D. Warren and Alexander L. Digirolamo, both of Jamestown were charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 5:46 p.m. Monday on Washington Street near West Seventh Street. According to a police report, officers pulled a vehicle over after seeing traffic infractions and, while speaking with Bracken and Alexander, could see drug paraphernalia in plain view. Through investigation, officers allegedly found Bracken in possession of Methamphetamine and cocaine while Alexander was allegedly found in possession of cocaine and fentanyl. Both were charged and taken to the city jail until they could be arraigned.

– Christopher Calhoun, 37, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday after a domestic incident on the north side of the city. Officers were assisting Child Protective Services with a case Christopher Calhoun was allegedly discovered hiding in the attic, violating an order of protection. He was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

ELLICOTT POLICE

– John W. Leamer, 75, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree harassment on July 1, at 11:57 a.m. after Ellicott police responded to a past tense harassment incident where it is alleged Leamer shoved a person to the ground. Leamer was issued an appearance ticket and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Scott A. Dickerson, 57, of Panama was charged with second-degree criminal contempt at 8 p.m. July 5 after officers responded to a reported unwanted person in Celoron. It’s alleged Dickerson was at the residence of the person who has an active stay away order of protection for Dickerson to stay away. Dickerson was arrested and taken to Chautauqua County Jail For centralized arraignment. Dickerson will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Jacob P.W. Hodgkin, 25, of Falconer was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of child and second-degree harassment on July 6, at 9:30 a.m. Ellicott police responded to a past tense domestic dispute where it is alleged Hodgkin shoved his girlfriend in the parking lot in front of children while in the parking lot of the Quality Inn. Hodgkin was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Sierra D. Rishel, 26, of Ellicott was charged with resisting arrest at 12:30 a.m. July 6. Ellicott police responded to a traffic stop where it is alleged Rishel was on an electric scooter and refused to stop for state Vehicle and Traffic charges. Rishel later led officers on a brief foot pursuit and allegedly resisted arrest while officers attempted to take Rishel into custody. Rishel was arrested and later released with an appearance ticket to be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Westley P. Bennett, 35, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny on June 6 after Ellicott police responded to a shoplifting at Runnings where it is alleged Bennett took merchandise belonging to the store without paying. Bennett was processed at the Ellicott Police Department and released with an appearance ticket. Bennett is due to appear in the Ellicott Town Court later.
