CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— MAYVILLE — At around 3:34 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop. Through an investigation it was discovered that Bridget G. Putnum, 33, of Pittsburgh was operating the vehicle while impaired by drugs. Putnum was charged with no plate lamp, unlicensed operator, DWAI Drugs and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is set to be in the Town of Chautauqua Court later.

— BEMUS POINT — At around 1:41 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near Route 430. The Operator of the vehicle was identified as Branden J. Johnson, 29, of Jamestown. Further investigation found Johnson to be driving while intoxicated. Johnson was charged with aggravated DWI, DWI, and speed in zone. He will be in Ellery town court later.

— BEMUS POINT — at around 11:14 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in the village of Bemus Point. The operator was identified as Timothy J. Benson, 63, of Ellery. Further investigation found Benson to be driving while intoxicated. Benson was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and improper and no signal. He will be in Ellery town court later.

— BEMUS POINT — At around 2:17 a.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Bemus-Ellery Road. The operator was identified as Gavin M. Chandler, 22, of Pittsburgh. Further investigation found Chandler to be driving while intoxicated. Chandler was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and speed in zone. He will be in Ellery court later.

— HANOVER — At around 9:36 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County sheriff’s office conducted a traffic stop on Iola Drive. The operator was identified as Amir O. Jassim, 19, of Orchard Park. Further investigation found Jassim to be driving while intoxicated. Jassim was charged with DWI, and unsafe starting. He will be in Hanover Court later.

— BUSTI — At around 11:23 p.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Busti-Sugar Grove Road. Through an investigation it was found that Dustin Verrett, 35, of Jamestown was driving while intoxicated. He was charged with failing to use a turn signal, no plate lamp, DWI and DWI per se. He is set to be in Busti court later.

— HANOVER — At around 7:21 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Alleghany Road. The operator was identified as Mark A. Greaman, 25, of Cheektowaga. Further investigation found Greaman to be driving while Intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and failing to stop at a stop sign. He will be in town court later.

— PANAMA — At around 12:14 a.m. Thursday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident in the village of Panama. Through an investigation it was found that Cody J. Erickson, 40, of Panama was operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Erickson was charged with DWI, DWI per se, and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. He will be in Harmony Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Dennis R. Boron, 51, was charged with third-degree assault. At about 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a domestic dispute. Through investigation, officers discovered that Boron had smacked a phone out of the hand of the victim. The phone struck the victim in the face. This resulted in the victim having an injury above their eye, and causing them substantial pain. Boron was placed into custody and transported to the city jail without incident.

— Georgeanna Ribbing, 49, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt and second-degree harassment.

At approximately 9:45 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a residence on the city’s south side following a report of a domestic incident. Through investigation, it was determined that Georgeanna Ribbing, a 49-year-old Jamestown resident, struck the victim in the face with a phone. The investigation also revealed Ribbing had violated a valid order of protection that had been issued between the two parties.

Ribbing was subsequently taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

— William H. Bentley, 64, of Massachusetts was charged with DWI, stop/standing on road, and failure to signal 11:45 p.m. Saturday.

Officers were assigned to STOP DWI patrol in the area of the northside of the city. While on partol officers noticed a vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. The vehicle then made an abrupt right hand turn and pulled over to the side of the road without using a turn signal. Officers conducted a traffic stop and during the investigation it was determined that the operator of the vehicle, Bentley was intoxicated. Bentley was transported to the city jail without incident.

— Jade KL Rivera, 18, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal trespass.

Officers responded to a south side address on Thursday in the city of Jamestown for a report of an unwanted person. Through an investigation it was determined that Rivera entered the residence of another person without permission. Rivera was located nearby and taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail without incident.
