CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– MAYVILLE – Joseph A. Cohen, 47, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree attempted assault following an investigation of an incident that took place June 17 at the Chautauqua County Jail. Cohen will answer to the charge in Chautauqua Town Court.

– WESTFIELD – Jocelyn A. Rolley, 52, of New Hampshire was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, aggravated DWI, and driving too slowly following a traffic stop June 19 at 8:30 p.m. in the village. She was later released on tickets to appear in Westfield Town Court at a later date.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Desiray J. Corrigan, 42, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after city police officers on patrol near Prospect Street saw a suspicious woman walk behind a residence at 3:29 a.m. Wednesday. The woman was identified by officers as Corrigan, who allegedly had a known warrant through the Lakewood-Busti Police Department. Corrigan was taken into custody, and a subsequent investigation determined that she was allegedly in possession of a quantity of fentanyl, a digital scale, and drug packaging material. Corrigan was taken to the city until she could be arraigned.

– Juan A. Tufino, 34, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest at 1:41 a.m. after officers conducted a street check at the 7-Eleven on North Main Street. Officers patrolling the area saw Tufino and knew he had an arrest warrant from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Tufino allegedly ignored verbal commands given by officers and ran before being located a short distance away. Tufino was placed into custody after a brief struggle and taken to the Jamestown City Jail until he could be arraigned.
