JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Brock D. Tyrrell, 47, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 8:51 p.m. Tuesday after officers patrolling on Falconer Street near Thayer Street saw a Tyrrell riding an electric scooter knowing he had outstanding arrest warrants from Jamestown City Court. Officers asked Tyrrell to stop the scooter and he complied. Officer’s confirmed the warrant through dispatch and Tyrrell was taken into custody. Tyrrell was then searched and allegedly found to be in possession of suboxone films that did not belong to him. Tyrell was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Kevin N. Young, 35, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest after officers assisting Chautauqua County Probation officers with a warrant check at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday on the city’s south side. According to a police report Young ran out the back of the residence and led police on a brief foot chase before complying with officers’ commands. Young was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Illinois D. Jackson, 21, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, fourth degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest after a domestic incident at 11:42 p.m. Tuesday on the city’s north side. Officers were already at another north side home for a separate call when they could hear glass breaking at a residence a few doors down. They responded to the scene and learned that Jackson was allegedly inside of the residence destroying property. Officers made announcements in an attempt to call Jackson outside, but Jackson allegedly refused. Officers then entered the home and reportedly found Jackson hiding in a basement. Jackson allegedly damaged an interior door in the home and was also allegedly in violation of an order of protection. Jackson was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– William R. Gardner, 25, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal mischief at 2:26 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to the EZ Clean Car Wash on W. Harrison St. for the report of a man attempting to break into a coin machine. Upon arrival, officers report finding Gardner prying on a vacuum machine in an attempt to open it up to get the change. It was discovered that Gardner caused extensive damage to the machine. Gardner was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Michael A. Vinopal, 47, of Warren was charged with fugitive from justice, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and traffic citations at 8:33 p.m. Monday after officers pulled a vehicle over on the city’s north side for reported moving violations. Vinopal had an active warrant out of Crawford County, Pa.. Vinopal was also allegedly found in possession of fentanyl. Vinopal was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Tyler T. Manelick, 28, of Lakewood was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance early Thursday morning after officers saw Manelick walking near East Sixth Street and Prendergast Avenue knowing Manelick had outstanding arrest warrants from Jamestown City Court and Ellicott Town Court. According to police, Manelick was found in possession of a credit card previously reported stolen from Lakewood, a set of black metal knuckles and suboxone strips. Manelick was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
