JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Luis A. Deleon-Lopez, 34, of Jamestown was charged with felony second-degree burglary and third-degree assault at 8 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a 911 hang-up call. During the investigation, it was determined Deleon-Lopez allegedly entered a woman’s residence and physically assaulted her by punching her in the face. Deleon-Lopez was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Jeremy D. Lyons, 30, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest and arrested on outstanding bench warrants at 12:04 a.m. Wednesday after officers patrolling in the area of the Third Street bridge saw Lyons walking on the sidewalk knowing he had active bench warrants through the Jamestown Police Department. As officers were placing Lyons into custody, he allegedly began to resist by pulling away. After a brief struggle, Lyons was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Debra Maldonado, 63, of Jamestown was charged with four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, fourth-degree felony criminal possession of stolen property, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and traffic tickets after a traffic stop on the south side of the city at 8:04 p.m. Monday. During the traffic stop the driver of the vehicle, who was later identified as Maldonado, took off running on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, officers took her into custody without incident. While speaking to Maldonado, she allegedly gave officers a name of a different individual. Through investigation officer’s discovered her identity and she had a confirmed bench warrant out of Jamestown City Court and a suspended driver’s license. Officer’s then searched Maldonado and allegedly found a small quantity of methampheatime, fentanyl, cocaine and buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual films, otherwise known as suboxone. While inventorying her property in the City Jail, officers allegedly found a debit card that was reported stolen to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. Maldonado was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
– Timothy G. Press Jr., 37, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, second-degree unlawful imprisonment, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment at 11:30 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a reported past-tense domestic incident on the city’s west side. Press Jr. violated an order of protection by engaging in a physical altercation and restraining the victim, who is a protected party in an order of protection. The incident also occurred in the presence of a 12-year-old child. Press was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
