CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– SILVER CREEK – Keishla M. Rivera-Perez, 28, of Dunkirk was charged Wednesday with aggravated unlicensed operator, Back seat passenger less than age 2 no rear facing restraint, Back seat passenger age 4-7 no/improper restraint, uninspected motor vehicle, inadequate muffler, threw/deposited refuse on highway/adjacent land, and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. It is alleged that Rivera-Perez was stopped on Main Street around 1 p.m. in the village for traffic infractions and had small children without proper safety restraints. It is further alleged that during the investigation Rivera-Perez did obstruct law enforcement and threw an item from her possession onto the sidewalk. Rivera-Perez was issued appearance tickets and will appear in the Town of Hanover at a later time and date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Tyler J. Cahill, 27, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 8:22 a.m. Thursday after officers were dispatched to a residence on the sside for a disorderly person. It was reported that while workers were at the residence cleaning up the yard Cahill , had come out yelling at the workers. Cahill escalated the confrontation by allegedly going back inside and grabbing a hatchet before allegedly coming back outside and waving it around at workers. Cahill was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
– Jose G. Vicente Vicente, 40, of Panama was charged with aggravated DWI per se Leandra’s Law, a felony; DWI, failure to signal when changing lanes, failure to signal prior to 100 feet, moved from lane unsafely, and endangering the welfare of a child at 1:09 a.m. Thursday after officers pulled a vehicle over on the west side. Vicente was allegedly intoxicated with a 12-year-old passenger in the vehicle. Vicente taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
Jose was found to be operating the vehicle with a 12 year old passenger on board. Jose was taken into custody and – – Alexander L. Chapman, 27, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree assault at 7:45 p.m. Thursday after officers responded to a north side address for a reported assault. Chapman allegedly punched a person in the face, causing injury. Chapman was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
