CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY COURT

Lisa Tibbetts, 48, of Jamestown, who pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, both “B” felonies, was sentenced by Judge David Foley to a determinate state prison sentence of seven years with two years of post-release supervision. Tibbetts pleaded guilty to these charges on Feb. 25 and was sentenced on Monday. The plea and sentence was the result of a lengthy investigation into the trafficking of methamphetamine by Tibbetts by the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– BEMUS POINT – Scott George, 51, and Cody George, 32, both of Jamestown, were both charged Tuesday with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, petit larceny and issuing a bad check. Scott George was additionally charged with second-degree forgery. It is alleged that on May 2 Scott and Cody had forged a check, issued it to another individual and obtained money from that individual. They were released with appearance tickets to appear at the Town of Ellery Court at a later date and time.

– FREWSBURG – Devin M. Carlson, 24, of Westfield was charged Tuesday with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. It is alleged that Carlson got into a physical altercation with another person in the presence of a child while on the side of an unnamed road in Frewsburg. He was transported to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office for processing and later participated in the Chautauqua County Jail’s centralized arraignment program. He will appear in the Town of Carroll Court at a later date and time.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Sienna M Swanson, 31, of Jamestown was charged with DWI, two counts of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and cited for traffic violations at 11:53 p.m. May 11 after officers responded to a west side address for a motor vehicle accident. Swanson allegedly was involved in an accident and then fled the scene. Police report she was found a short distance away and allegedly found to be under the influence of alcohol. Sienna was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

– Jamie A. Clifton, 46, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, unlawful imprisonment and resisting arrest at 9:19 p.m. May 11 after officers responded to a residence on the east side of Jamestown following a report of a domestic dispute. During the investigation, it was determined that Clifton allegedly unlawfully restrained the victim, then tried to hide from officers while not complying with officers’ verbal commands. There was also allegedly an order of protection between Clifton and the victim. Clifton was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Nethaniel Mohney, 20, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing at 4 p.m. Tuesday after officers responded to the west side for a reported person with a weapon. Through investigation, it was found Mohney allegedly threatened another person with a knife. Mohney was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Victor M. Melendez, 46, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree obstructing governmental administration and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday after officers responded to a report of a disorderly male on the city’s east side. Upon arrival, officers learned Melendez allegedly had an outstanding bench warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. He was charged after a brief standoff. During the investigation, Melendez was allegedly found in possession of a small quantity of narcotics, as well as equipment commonly associated with the distribution or sale of drugs. Melendez was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
